Genetic Genie is the free tool most people find when they search for what to do with a raw DNA file. It has run since the early 2010s on donations, and it is built around two things: a methylation panel and a detox panel. Feed it a 23andMe or AncestryDNA export and it reports your genotypes at the methylation-cycle variants — rs1801133 and rs1801131 in MTHFR, rs1805087 in MTR, rs1801394 in MTRR, rs234706 in CBS, and rs4680 in COMT. A third tool, GenVue Discovery, browses variants for “conditions, drug/chemical response, rare mutations, and more” [2].
It is genuinely good at that, it costs nothing, it needs no account, and it says plainly that your data is not stored or shared [1]. It also accepts more file formats than we do. If a free methylation panel is what you came for, the honest answer is that Genetic Genie already does it.
